Mutual investment in your wellness is crucial to our success. We will be working together to create healthy habits around “The Seven Spheres of Lifestyle Signals” described by Dr. Thomas Guilliams in his text Cardiometabolic Risk Management:  A Functional and Lifestyle Approach. The key signals are as follows: Community and Purpose, Hygiene and Habit, Environment, Diet and Nutrition, Physical Activity, Stress Response, and Chronicity. Each of these key signals has numerous lifestyle interventions that can be employed to optimize your wellness and improve your quality of life as you live well and age well.

Since most of our visits will be virtual, every patient-partner will need to have a thermometer, accurate scale, automatic blood pressure cuff with the ability to check a pulse, and a pulse-oximeter (to check blood-oxygen saturation) available at home. These tools will help us assess useful physical markers across time. I may also encourage some of you to purchase and utilize a Continuous Glucose Monitor.    All of these tools will be vital to our assessment process and available at your local pharmacy, Walmart, or Amazon. Please take these readings prior to our consultations for documentation and ongoing evaluation as this will guide ongoing interventions and management.
